The other day the kids and I went blueberry picking. I was hoping for at least 3 buckets full; we only filled one before the boys were ready to nap. I figured that we would be going back to get more blueberries, but I wanted to figure out what we would be making. Scouring the internet, there are so many amazing, delicious recipes and I just had to share some of them with you.
I think my favorite is the Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream .
If you are just looking for a topping for your ice cream, you can try this Bourbon Blueberry Sauce or this Blueberry Sauce.
The number one request my kids have is blueberry muffins. We haven’t decided yet if we will make Lemon Blueberry Cupcakes, Greek Yogurt Blueberry Muffins, or Homemade Blueberry Muffins. I do know that they won’t last a day!
I am looking forward to some tasty blueberry smoothies to get me through my midday slump. Being a chocolate lover, this Chocolate Blueberry Protein Shake sounds fab! So does this Blueberry Almond Ginger Smoothie. The kids will love this Mixed Berry Smoothie. I will be trying this Doctor Who Candy Bar Shake {it’s practically a smoothie, right?}.
Blueberries make the perfect breakfast food as you can see in these recipes.
~Blueberry Pecan Breakfast Bars
While I suppose these would be classified as desserts, I bet you could swing them for breakfast too.
~Mini Berry Tarts that are perfect for pretty much anything!
~No Bake Berry Cheesecake Parfaits
~Yogurt Blueberry Pie Maggie has made it clear in no uncertain terms that she really wants to make a pie, so we will probably be making this.
~Simple Berry Shortcake sounds like the perfect summer treat.
Don’t forget those extra snack type things like this Summer Lemon Blueberry Bread and these Blueberry Passionfruit Margaritas.
Folks, blueberry picking season is here – what will you make? Show some love to your favorite recipes by sharing and pinning them. Now, go eat!
