A Sesame Street Birthday Party for Charlie

We decided for Charlie man’s first birthday that we wanted a Sesame Street theme.  He doesn’t care yet and Elmo is a big hit around this house!  With the exception of the cake I tried to make, everything went pretty smooth thanks to the awesome family and friends I have!  It was definitely a Pinterest inspired party!

First, we had the Sesame Street goodie bags my sister made for the kids.

Then, we had our wall decorations, also from Pinterest.

I was having fun with the food setup, and loved this Pinterest idea I had found.

Instead of the cake I wanted to make, my awesome friend Katie from From Me To Mommy picked up this cake for Charlie.  This first cake, I put the time and effort into making….it looked great at first, and then, overnight, it started to sink in places and didn’t turn out so well….whoops!

For an added treat – we had these delicious fortune cookies from Fancy Fortune Cookies.  And you can even glimpse our decorations from BirthdayInABox.

We had a blast with our family and friends that came to celebrate the little man’s 1st birthday.  How did you celebrate your little one’s first birthday?
