Did you catch the post about my daughter the artist? I can’t even explain to you how excited I am about this new thing she does. Every picture tells a story and I love hearing about them. Between that and her adventures that she takes me on {thank you Angel Bear Yoga}, she has gotten to be quite the story teller. I love it!
Today, we went and watched one of my nephews regionals gymnastics meet. He did awesome! I love watching him because he works so hard at it and it’s fun to see how far he has come. I didn’t make it to see him last year at all, and I feel as though I may have missed the year before that too, so he has developed a lot as a gymnast. And, this young man has a special place in my heart and I would love for you to read a little about some things he has had to deal with because he is a male gymnast and sometimes, people have a problem with that. Oh, the helmet bit? I’m sure some of you can relate to this. Charlie man is 9 months old, and he is constantly hitting his head. I am seriously considering getting the kid a crash helmet so he doesn’t damage that handsome head of his. The child has bruises all over the place because he falls, bumps, or gets run over by his sister all day long! When he was born, I began wondering how the second child survives, but now I’m really questioning it.
We took a little family field trip to Cabela’s. The one by us has a big aquarium with tons of fish. Plus, they have wildlife mounts throughout the store, my favorite of which is probably the African safari with the elephants. Maggie even pointed out a mount of a zebra which I had never noticed before. As you can see, the kids had a blast and so did we. We try to go do this every so often because we love it just as much as they do.
Other things – I’m thinking of putting Maggie in dance classes when she turns 3 {yikes, that’s really going to happen isn’t it?}. Some friends came over the other day and had to leave so their daughter could go to dance. I’m guessing that she was doing her dance moves and Maggie was watching because she has been doing dance moves for the last few days. The problem {or what I consider a problem} is that it’s $30 a month!!!! I know, it’s not a ridiculous amount, but she will only be 3! Do any of your kids play sports that are this young or am I crazy?
