April, the woman behind April’s Baby strives to create adorable and affordable cloth diapers and accessories. Cloth diapers are making a comeback, and every baby should be stylish! April brings you cloth diapers made with love!
Now, I don’t know about you, but when I was starting out with cloth, flats seemed scary. I had no interest in them because they seemed a bit intimidating to me. Can you imagine how John felt? He would have a fit just changing a pocket or AIO diaper in the beginning. When I said daddy flats to him, I’m pretty sure I may have just as well been speaking another language. Seriously, he got that glazed over look in his eyes and walked away.
Well, April’s baby has me covered! in all honesty, I wasn’t sure what to expect either, but I was excited. I love pockets and AIO’s, but I wanted something trimmer. Fitting those under Charlie’s little baby jeans wasn’t going so well. When our Daddy Flats arrived, I opened it up and thought, hmmm. I hope this is easy. When it is all unfolded, it looks a bit scary because of the shape, but if you just look at it, it’s no problem at all. Just fold the Daddy Flat in thirds and snap it on to baby. Yep, that’s right folks, snap it on! No pins, no laying it in a cover and having it bunch up and get frustrated with it. No snappi, boingo, none of that stuff. Just simple snaps.
Daddy flats have the benefits of regular flats and prefolds, like easy washing, drying and sanitizing, but also have the bonus of easy folding. This makes them perfect for child care, babysitters, dads, and anybody else. Daddy Flats have 6 absorbent layers. they are made with an outer layer of soft (and adorable) cotton flannel. The inside is made from a super soft, thirsty unbleached bamboo or hemp fleece.
I love how quickly these dry, and are ready to use again. We received a medium that fits from 14″ – 19″ and 15″ rise (about 15-30 lbs). Charlie wasn’t quite 15 pounds, but we were able to use it on him anyways. Because of the placement of the snaps, this diaper is adjustable and can fit for a longer period of time. I love that while this isn’t a one size, it fits a wide range, and can be used on both of my kids. Plus, unlike pocket diapers with rise snaps, you simply adjust where you snap this, and it is easily adjusted for one or the other child. With 3 rows of snaps on the front, 2 on top, 6 in the middle, and 2 on bottom, you can fold the front down for smaller babies, and leave it unfolded for larger kiddos. Then, put the diaper cover over it, and you have absorbency and a waterproof diaper.
With the price of $10.46 on these daddy flats, you will be able to build your stash and still eat too! If you are looking for a simple, cute, and affordable diaper option, look no further! John was impressed with how easy these were to use.
