CollageIt *Review*

When I started my blog, I didn’t realize how much I would love it!  I thought it would be this really casual thing, but I take it much more seriously than that.  It is really important to me.  When I look at my pictures and how I arrange them and edit them, I realize that I am limited in my options because of the software I am using.  When I had the chance to review CollageIt, I jumped at it.  I like making collages because it cleans up the post a bit in my opinion.  I like to include a lot of pictures, but they don’t all need to be separate.  With CollageIt, I have tons of options for making photo collages of my pictures. What exactly is it you ask?
CollageIt is an app that helps create eye-catching photo collages in no time at all using Mac OS X and Windows.  CollageIt Pro is a TOP 10 PHOTOGRAPHY APP on App Store.  Some of the fun and easy to use features are:
The various different layouts and templates.
Easy customization by cropping, adjusting the number of pictures, the space between photos, page margin, rotation of photos, sparse, and much more.  Plus, you can decorate the collage with a photo border or shadow.
When you are done, simply save it as an image file, then make it your wallpaper, share it in email, or print it out!
Just add your pictures, use the Random Layout feature to generate the layout automatically, or, if you want it your way, move the pictures around and change it up a bit.  Super easy!  If you are anything like me, using a new program can be daunting.  Will it be user friendly, or will I spend an hour figuring it out?  Well folks, CollageIt is very user friendly.
Creating your very own photo collage is easy.  7 simple steps, and you may not even take all of the steps.
1.  Add pictures – they upload very fast
2.  Choose template
3.  Choose page size, 12 x 12, envelope, 8 x 10, 5 x 7 or many other options
4.  How many pictures do you want?  Margin and spacing adjustments
5.  Random photo generator and shuffle pictures.  Don’t want to use this?  Drag and drop your pictures.
6.  Crop your pictures
7.  Save them to your computer, upload to flickr, email, make them your desktop background, whatever you choose to do.
Here is an example of how quickly I can change the entire look of a collage simply by clicking on Choose template and picking a different one.  That’s all I did here.  The program randomly selects the photos each time you change the template.  That is the only thing I didn’t like as much.  If I wanted to see my pictures in a different layout, it didn’t keep the same pictures.  I did however have 60 pictures in the viewer though.  I could have simply removed the ones I wasn’t using.  Seriously, 2 seconds to a whole different look.

With over 130 different templates, there is almost no end to the things you can do.

Do you like to edit your photos?  Wouldn’t this be an easy way to do something fun with all of those vacation photos?
