Today’s challenge topic: describe 3 significant memories from my childhood. This should be easy, but it’s not. To be completely honest, I don’t remember a lot about my childhood, but here are a few things.
1. My parents dying. I was 15. Eventually, I will write a post with all of the details. Probably not until May.
2. Sleeping in my dads semi. I remember him coming home and telling us girls that if we cleaned it, we could sleep in it. We thought that it was so cool to sleep in it.
3. Are any of you surprised that this one involves my best friend Katie? You shouldn’t be. If it’s from my childhood, she’s involved. We were pretty inseparable. The details here may be wrong, if they are, I’m sure Katie will chime in and let me know. I remember our parents told us we had to spend a few days apart. In my head, it involved us girls kicking and screaming that it wasn’t fair. We didn’t fight like some girls do. We just had fun. How dare they try to separate us!!!
These are some of the things from my childhood that stand out in my memory. What are some of your most memorable moments as a child?
We had probably spent too many nights at each other’s houses and we were driving our parents crazy! Ha, we sure showed them, 28 years later and we are still going strong 🙂
And we still talk almost every single day!
