You guys – I am exhausted!!!  I didn’t sleep last night and then was at a vendor fair working my booth all day with the kids.  By the time we got home and I was unloading books, I realized that I STILL HAD TO MAKE DINNER!  I considered crying – my neck hurt, my throat still hurts and I just wanted to sit down.  Then I remembered that I knew I would be tired and planned for it by leaving a pound of hamburger in the fridge to thaw.  I knew I’d be beat and not want to put any effort into cooking dinner, so my quick and easy lasagna was going to feed my beautiful family tonight.  The part I was dreading though was the clean up, but I had picked up something new that just hit the stores that would hopefully eliminate the need for muscle power scrubbing when it was time to clean up – Scotch-Brite® Scrubbing Dish Cloths.  Fingers crossed that these would make clean up as easy as preparing dinner was.

I love a good mean, and lasagna really is one of my very favorites, but I hate the clean-up part.  By the time I get dinner cleaned up and have a chance to get to the dishes, there is so much stuck on food that it takes forever to get the pan clean.  That definitely did not fit into my mood tonight, so I kept my fingers crossed when I started to clean up dinner with the Scotch-Brite® Scrubbing Dish Cloth.#ScrubCloth makes clean up a breeze.

Guess what?!  One side of the dish cloth is a high quality fiber dish cloth, while the other side has the Scotch-Brite® scrubbing dots, making the dish cloth work harder so you don’t have to. #ScrubCloth makes clean up a breeze.  You could feel the little scrubbing dots taking the stuck on food right off the pan.  That’s great news for me – and I have some great news for you.  You can pick up some Scotch-Brite® Scrubbing Dish Cloths at Walmart for $4.98.  Right now you can save $1 instantly at checkout.  Woo-hoo!  Scotch Brite In Store Photo

Let’s Get Cooking!

To make this easy peasy lasagna recipe, you need one pound of cooked ground hamburger, 16 ounces {one pound} of shredded mozzarella, one jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce, and lasagna noodles.  Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.

Lasagna ingredientsSpread half of the jar of spaghetti sauce in the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking pan.  {I always add some oregano to my sauce, but then again, I add oregano to just about everything}.

Arrange a layer of uncooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.  I usually have to break a few noodles to cover the entire pan.  This is the part that makes this lasagna so easy, you don’t have to cook the noodles before adding them to the lasagna.

Spread half of the hamburger over the noodles.

Add shredded mozzarella cheese, as much as you like.  I usually do about 8 ounces, but I am a cheese lover, so do what works for you.

Spread the remaining sauce on top of cheese layer.

Add another layer of uncooked lasagna noodles.

Cover with the remainder of the hamburger.

Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.

Cover the pan with tinfoil.  Cook for approximately 40 minutes.  Remove tinfoil and cook for a few more minutes until cheese is melted to your liking and noodles are as tender as you like, for our oven, this is usually only a few more minutes.Lasagna steps

That’s it.  It honestly only takes a few minutes to throw together and you can get on with your day while it cooks.  Easy Peasy LasagnaThat was a great end to my busy day.  You can find more great recipes and tutorials here.
