Maggie hasn’t always been a good eater.  She loves to snack, but doesn’t care for meal time.  It was very frustrating to us.  I refuse to make meal time a fight though, and was determined to make it fun instead.  I went into it thinking it was a lost cause because I am a very picky eater.  {Nobody made food fun for me!}  How on earth was I going to convince my adorable daughter to eat healthier foods?  Well, one idea I found was Fun Bites.

Fun Bites are shaped food cutters that are quick and easy to use.  It’s a simple 2 piece system that you use to cut up sandwiches, fruit, or anything else your heart desires {our favorite is cheese cubes}.   The smooth design makes it easy to clean up, although I found that when cleaning it by hand after using it on peanut butter sandwiches, I just use my kitchen sprayer to clean it.  They are dishwasher safe too.

To use your Fun Bites cutter, take the two piece apart, use the cutter piece by placing it on the food you are going to cut, rocking it back and forth, then pushing the other piece through.  Because the cutter is so sturdy, you don’t have to worry about breaking it.  Go ahead and push with it.  Because the edges aren’t super sharp, your children won’t cut themselves if they touch it, yet it still cuts the food.  They are also 100% BPA and made in the USA!

We eat a lot of peanut butter sandwiches, or rather, I make them a lot.  Whether or not the kids eat them is a whole different story, but cut into fun little bite size squares, they gobble it up.  All cut up, they are just the perfect size for their little hands.  Plus, they fit so nicely into our little Bento lunches.
