I have always had a crafty, creative side. My mom used to do a lot of sewing, knitting and crocheting and I quickly followed in her footsteps. I also spent a lot of time learning to quilt in exchange for babysitting for my mom’s friend in my teens.  I started crafting items for babies and children because they always come out so cute and who can resist giving a handmade gift to a precious little person? Not me! As I got older I began to get concerned about the environmental impact of conventional textile production and started to look into more sustainable textiles. I stumbled upon organic cotton fabric and yarn and fell in love. So I started putting together this newfound love of organics with my love of crafting for babies and children and began OrganicPatchwork.
