Are you a mom who uses a breast pump? Does it drive you crazy when you have to just sit there and hold it up to you and you are just stuck? Do you wish you could use your hands to do something while you wait? Here is the answer!
I was given the opportunity to review a Simple Wishes Hands Free Breast Pump Bra. I was so excited! Why you ask? Well, because, I have a newborn and a toddler….who loves her little brother so much and wants to hug and kiss him all the time. There was no safe place for him to be while I was pumping and had my hands full. This would give me a chance to pump but still be able to keep her from getting in his face.
Before you read my review though, a bit about the brains behind the Hands Free bra. Debra, Lydia, Joy and Keren had years of retail experience behind them, and were each able to contribute their own strength to the process. Being sisters is a bond enough, but they were able to bond even more as they work together to design a much needed product for new moms.
What is this hands free bra all about? Here is a look at it.
I bet you are thinking, wow! The baby is 7 weeks old and you look that good already! Sorry folks, that’s not me. Haha!!! But that is what I do at night when I pump, so I thought the picture was appropriate.
The Simple Wishes Hands Free Breast Pump Bra is available in two sizes, XS/S/M and L/XL/XXL. Only two sizes? That was my first thought. How could I get a snug fit with that much range? Not only is there an adjustable back velcro panel allowing you to adjust the ribcage bad size by 10 inches, but there is also a zip in front panel that will add 2 inches in case you need more space between your breasts when you put the bra on. It is available in soft pink or black.

The front zipper panel and the straps
The bra also comes with straps. It is designed with elastic reinforcement at the top to get a secure fit, but you can also wear it with the straps in halter, tank or racerback style. The hands free bra can be worn on its own, or you can zip it on over your nursing bra with the flaps down. If you manually express milk, simply unzip the bra from the bottom up to loosen the band creating access for your hand.
The hands free bra is made of 83% cotton and 17 % spandex. It will also work with all electric breast pumps.
The four way layering support system helps maintain a secure and tight seal for the breast shields. You can see in the pictures below that the material fits snugly around the breast shields.
What did I think?
I am so glad I have this bra! When I first read about it, I wasn’t sure if it would be worth having, but I can honestly say that it is. I was talking to a good friend about it the other day who pumps a lot, especially while she is at work. I may have convinced her that it’s worth buying. She had been looking at some other brand, and felt it was too much money. I told her how much the Simple Wishes hands free bra costs, and she was considering buying one. At only $39.00, it is completely worth the money!
This bra is SOOOO soft and comfortable. I haven’t worn it throughout the day, I simply put it on over my nursing bra when I am ready to pump. To get the right fit the first time, I zipped up the front of the bra, hooked the back panel on one side, and then pulled it to where it was snug and comfortable, and then hooked the velcro on that side. The panel is thick so it isn’t like a small area that is easy to miss. I am not a fan of velcro because I find that when it gets snug, it tends to come undone, but this hasn’t happened for me. It stays firmly in place. Before I put the bra on, I put the breast shields in and then zip it on, but I have also put it on first and then put the shields in and it works fine that way too.
If you are a breastfeeding mom who pumps, you need one of these bras! It is such a time saver…in fact, I am using it while I write this just so I don’t forget anything.
Win one here coming soon!

Oh this would be so convenient while pumping so I can do other things. Even just reading a book. Definitely would be something we could use!! Thank you!!
I pump at work and have to eat lunch at the same time, so hands free pumping is amazingly helpful!
this would help me while reading to my toddler.
This would be great to have for my next baby since I’m sure I will be returning to work while I am bfing and I will have my hands full with two kiddos as well! 🙂
i would love to have this so i can spend time with my son when i pump like unpacking all my moving boxes taking a month!
Being able to pump hands-free would be wonderful. It’s SO BORING sitting there holding the bottles, unable to do ANYTHING else. I could read a book! 🙂
Pumping at work would be much easier and enjoyable.
This would make my life easier because I could actually DO something while pumping. Probably check email or facebook, but hey, at least I can multitask!
this would be amazing and allow me to get done the many things on my to do list while pumping!!

I am currently pumping while doing my last year of a nursing program, this bra would make my life alot easier!
My friend has one and loves it. Would love to have one too to help give me some extra time to tackle my never-ending to-do list while pumping.
I hated having to hold both pumps and feeling like I wasn’t getting anything else done during the 10-20 minutes it took me to pump on my lunch break. Nowadays, I’m at home, but it would be handy since I have a very active toddler and an infant!
This would help me multi-task with 4 kids and a baby! It would save my life lol
