Greenie Beanie Bottoms sent me a FuzziBunz Elite One Size Diaper with the new Minky Inserts in my choice of color to review. I chose Spearmint not only because the color is awesome, but because our daughter can wear it and so can the new baby whether we have a boy or a girl.

Here is what we received:

I love my old style FuzziBunz, so when I had the opportunity to try out the new Elite with minky inserts, I was excited!  When it came in the mail, I was even more excited.  The color is awesome!  I love it.  And the new minky inserts are so soft.  I didn’t even want to stuff it, I wanted to keep touching it.  

The diapers come with a sizing guide on the package, and my daughter fits right where it says she will.  FuzziBunz diapers have a unique sizing system with buttons inside the pocket of the diaper.  One for each leg and one for the back.  This may seem complicated at first glance, but is really quite simple and helps the diaper to stay so trim.  

 One thing to keep in mind when adjusting the diaper is that the corresponding hold is above the number on the legs and below the number on the waist.  It doesn’t make it harder to adjust, but it is helpful to remember when adjusting the diaper.  I like that after adjusting the buttons, the elastic tucks back into the pocket of the diaper. 

This diaper fit Maggie perfectly!  No gaps, no leaks, no problems.   The pocket opening is much narrower on FuzziBunz Elite than on many other pocket diapers, but the minky inserts still slide right in, this seems to be an improvement from the old style FuzziBunz.  

Maggie NEVER stops moving, but the diaper and insert stayed put.  No shifting or gapping.  With the buttons on 3 and 3, she has the diaper snapped on the outermost snaps.  She will probably be on this setting for quite awhile.  (She is 20 pounds and not super skinny but not a chunkers either).  

One thing I noticed about the Elite vs. the old style FuzziBunz is that there are only 3 snaps for the thighs instead of 4.  This doesn’t seem to make a difference for us, and 3 settings there seems plenty.

No gapping

 The quick dry fleece keeps baby drier longer with no pilling.  There is no noticeable pilling on the diaper so far which is great!  


I love the minky inserts.  They are anti-microbial with increased absorbancy and less bulk.  I love that using the minky inserts minimizes the smell as opposed to the regular microfiber inserts.  
Whether this will work for everybody I am not sure.  Maggie only naps about 1-2 hours, and at night, her longest period of sleep is usually about 5 hours long.  When she wakes up in her crib, I change her and bring her to bed with me.  After the 5 hour stretch though, this diaper had still not leaked.  


Honestly, the only things I would change about these diapers is that I wish they had tons of cute prints!  I love their colors, but prints are my favorite!  I also think the price is a little bit higher than some other pockets, but not outrageous.

 My overall impression of the FuzziBunz Elite is that I definitely need more of these in my stash!  I love the trimness of this diaper.  The colors are great and we haven’t had a single problem with these diapers.
