Is a diaper bag a fashion accessory? {Giveaway}

I have heard it a million times, what diaper bag do you use?  Just about every mom out there asks it at some point.  You may not think about it when creating your baby registry, and you will probably get a few different bags.  We received 3 and now, we don’t really use any of those.  We have one that we won that we use quite a bit that is made from recycled water bottles, and another we would use once in awhile.  When I saw all of the features in the Pink Lining diaper bags, I knew I wanted to try one.The Blooming Gorgeous diaper bag I received is very generously sized, measuring 38 L x 25.5 H x 19 W cm.  It’s a bit wider than most diaper bags you will find which makes it easy to fit everything you need into it.  The first thing I noticed when it arrived is how durable it feels.  The material feels thicker and more sturdy because it’s made from a cotton canvas coated in PEVA laminate, which is an environmentally friendly, food-safe vinyl made without chlorine or plasticizers and 20% nylong.  Washing any dirty spots is easy to do on the surface of this bag. The lining of the bag is made from 100% nylon in their signature shocking pink color, but is also water resistant which is perfect because, I don’t know about you, but our bag gets spilled in.  Are you in love yet?

First off is the large pocket in the front canvas pocket that snaps shut.  On the top of the pocket, it says Blooming Gorgeous and the bottom has four flowers embroidered onto the bag.  The inside also has the water resistant fabric.  I love how accessible this pocket is and it’s large enough to store my wallet, phone and chapstick, the three things I use most.  Plus, the snap ensures that my things are secure.  Then, the large pockets on each end to hold drinks.  My water bottle is somewhat large, and doesn’t fit into some diaper bag pockets but it fits into this bag quite well.  Yes, of course there is water resistant fabric inside the pockets as well.  The last feature of the outside of the diaper bag is the straps.  There are two different options.  A strap on each side that snaps together at the top for carrying, or a large, adjustable strap that can be used to hook onto a stroller, cart, or whatever else you use it for.

The pockets that are on the inside front of the bag:  There are two thermo insulated bottle pockets that can keep milk warm for up to 3 hours.  I haven’t used these pockets for this yet, but in the summer when it’s hot out all of the time, I intend to check it out and see if it works to keep our drinks cooler.  The pockets are also very large and fit my water bottle easily.  In between these two pockets is a mobile phone pocket.  Hooked on the side of one of the bottle pockets is a detachable mirror.

The other side of the diaper bag has a zippered pocket, 2 large pockets to store diapers, although with cloth diapers, I don’t use the pockets for diapers.  There is an elastic pen holder, and a detachable wet bag where we store our hand sanitizer and diaper cream.  The clasp for the wet bag doubles as a key fob as well.

Lastly, a very cushy changing pad that is also pretty with cupcakes on it.

We have been using our diaper bag every day since it arrived, and are loving it.  There have still been days where I think it just isn’t big enough, but on those days, there is no diaper bag big enough for everything we take for a full day trip.  With a baby in diapers, a toddler potty training, snacks, drinks, baby carrier, and all of the other little things, we have a lot of baggage!  If you want to read about what‘s in our diaper bag, check out my post here.
