Have you been wondering how to improve your child’s math skills in a way that they are both learning and having fun? Math Galaxy may be the thing for you.
Math Galaxy can be used as either an app or different eBooks. We are reviewing the eBooks. There are four different sets.
- Whole Numbers
- Fractions
- Decimals, Proportions, Percents
- Algebra
Within each eBook download are multiple eBooks. Here is inside the Whole Numbers eBook and the different books available. Each eBook has multiple pages with both the worksheets and the answer sheets {like 40+ pages in each one} so tons of different puzzles and activities. Each page has a series of problems to answer. When answered correctly, you will find a corresponding letter on the right side of the page. Put that letter in the correct box at the top for that problem number. When finished, the answer to the riddle will be there. Fun, right?!
My daughter {nine-years-old} doesn’t generally like math. She takes a little longer to really grasp the concepts and keep them in her mind. When we got started with our school work the other day, she actually asked me for some of the worksheets she had been doing. What worksheets? The Math Galaxy eBooks. In general, I don’t love things I have to print, but these are great. They are emailed and downloaded in multiple files and I can print just the pages I want. That gives me the freedom to choose what we are going to work on that week. I print out different sheets covering different math concepts and let her choose what she works on that day. She loves solving the problem to get the answer to the riddle. Not only do I love that she loves it, but I love that it is self correcting so if she can’t find the answer on the side of the page, she knows she made a mistake.
We spent plenty of time on the Whole Numbers eBook bundle because these are all concepts that she has worked on already. We did a little of the pre-algebra but these are new concepts for her. Letting her be introduced to them by choosing to do them has made for less frustration from her during math.
Math Galaxy offers math activities for K-12th grade, so you can find what you are looking for. Be sure to click the image below to see what other bloggers have to say about the app and eBooks.
