I am joining up again for the weekly Breastfeeding Blog Hop hosted by The Slacker Mom, The Gnome’s Mom and Happiness Redefined. I am very sad I missed last weeks because I have some guilt! This week, we are talking about our favorite thing about breastfeeding.
My absolute very favorite part of breastfeeding was the simple fact that only I could do it! I never got much milk when I pumped, so we didn’t have bottles of it. So…while everybody else could hold her….nobody else could feed her. It was fantastic! This also meant a ton of cuddle time for mommy and Maggie!
I breastfed for the health benefits, but never realized I would love breastfeeding my daughter. What a fantastic bond we have because of all of our snuggle time we spent!
In case you can’t tell, I am completely in love with this little person! |
we never worked through our issues with latching so i exclusively pumped for 16 months (thankfully i respond all right to the pump) and one of the things i loved most about breastfeeding was my ability to lactate…i know its biologically normal, but it was still sooo cool to me!
Wow! I commend you for sticking with it if you pumped the whole time. I am not sure I could have done that. Okay, I know I couldn’t have. We never got much out of 10 minutes of pumping. Good for you! It is amazing what our bodies do.
