A new way to watch TV

My daughter has become obsessed with the television.  I’m still not sure how it happened, but she would watch it all day long if you let her.  The problem is, sometimes there is just nothing on TV.  The bigger problem…sometimes I really want them to watch TV while I get something done.  That’s where Kidoodle.TV has come into play.

Kidoodle.TV is designed for kid fun and mom peace of mind.  You can set up up to 5 kid profiles, making them each age appropriate for that child.  It’s easy to navigate for your kids, yet you can control what they see.  Maggie and Charlie just love any chance to be near my computer, so they really love Kidoodle.TV.  They each have their own profile and their own shows to choose from.  Plus, it’s really easy for them to scroll up and down to select what they want to watch.  Don’t be fooled….I do not let Charlie do that part just yet…he is not gentle with the Mac.  Kidoodle.TV also adds shows every so often.  Just in the last few days, there are 3 new shows on Maggie’s profile.  Because it’s ad free, I don’t worry that Maggie will click on something that isn’t kid friendly.   Maggie’s favorite right now is Willa’s Wild Life, but once she realizes that Pound Puppies is there, that may be her favorite.  Most importantly, they cannot access the parental controls page without the passcode.

  • My kids are obsessed with TV, too. I try to encourage them to play outside, read a book, just about anything aside from sitting in front of the TV. I try hard to monitor what they are watching. I think some of the cartoons shown nowadays are inappropriate for their age (five and six). I will definitely be checking out Kidoodle.tv. Thanks so much for the introduction.
