Have you ever used that toothbrush that leaves you wondering, just minutes later, if you actually brushed your teeth at all?  I have, so there are only a few toothbrushes that I will use.  I love the idea of electric toothbrushes, it has been years since I have used one, mostly because of the cost of it.   With the new, battery powered Philips Sonicare PowerUp toothbrush, that isn’t a problem.  You can pick up the PowerUp at Walmart for under $20 and my teeth couldn’t wait to check it out.

Not all toothbrushes are created equal.  I want my teeth to be more than just clean, I want my mouth to feel fresh and clean.  Any old toothbrush will at least sort of clean your mouth.  This entertaining video on Sonicare’s Facebook page on the evolution of toothbrushes will show you just how they have changed since the beginning.

If you haven’t used an battery powered toothbrush before, it is amazing!  It’s like a little massage to your gums and teeth.  With the Sonicare PowerUp, you will get a month’s worth of brushstrokes in a day!  That amazing little toothbrush head will leave your teeth feeling so unbelievably clean.  And I don’t just say little, I mean it.  The head of the toothbrush is narrow and fits in your mouth easily so you can get those back teeth cleaner than they have been in a long time.

The Sonicare PowerUp requires 2 AA batteries, which are included.  While the end is easy to pop open to change the batteries when you need to, it stays put while you are brushing. The brush head pops off easily to change heads when the time comes.  I especially like how you can stand the toothbrush up on the end and it doesn’t fall over.  I get overly grossed out by toothbrush holders because any excess water pools in them and it gets nasty, but I also hate to put my toothbrush in a drawer.  With the stand up ability of this toothbrush, it can stay germ free.  *Happy mouth dance*
