When the new year arrived, so did some new toys from Learning Resources. We love our Jumbo Animal Counters from them and couldn’t wait for the opportunity to check out some more toys! Learning Resources offers so many fun, learning toys for kids {or students}.
Maggie is quite the little 2 year old these days. She wants hands on learning all day long….and most of it needs to involve water. She loves to scoop water from one container into another, and prefers to take it from the dog dish. When I saw these Twisty Droppers, I knew without a doubt that I had to have them! How perfect, they have a big enough bulb on the end to fit in those tiny little hands. I knew Maggie would love these, after all, they are made for the water!
I will admit, when they arrived and I opened them, I wasn’t so sure they would stand up to a 2 year old, but we put them to the test. I was sure she would break them in half in no time at all. Well, she didn’t break them, they are very durable. We did however break one of them, but only because it got left on the floor and daddy stepped on it and broke it.
The twisty design of these is so much fun. I’m serious here, I was being a little kid with these too and was mesmerized watching the water go up…..and then down. We even added food coloring to one bowl of water, and none to the other and she had fun making the other water turn red using these droppers. I love that using the twisty droppers and squeezing the bulb teaches fine motor skills and cause and effect. The bulbs are the perfect size for kids to use, and not just young toddlers, school age kids can enjoy these too. {Recommended for ages 2-8}
The twisty droppers come in a set of 4 with different colored bulbs and stems on each one. The colors are bright and fun for kids. I think our next play date with these will be with yellow food coloring in one bowl and blue in the other. Can you guess what will happen?

yes my son loves playing in the water!
My oldest two have always loved playing in the water. We have two water parks for kids close by that we go to a lot. I’m excited to be able to take my twins this summer there since they’ll be old enough by then to enjoy it too! They’ve only been able to play in the bath tub.
