Since I have spent most of the last 4 years either pregnant or breastfeeding, I have certainly done my research on products that I use on my skin and in our house. What you use in your daily beauty routines can have an effect on an unborn baby or a breastfeeding baby. Anything I’m putting into my body can be absorbed into my bloodstream and reach the baby, so I want to make sure that I’m not harming my babies.
Pretty Mommies is a natural, safe and effective skincare system that you can safely use, whether pregnant, nursing, or for anybody else, men included. Starting with Let’s Be Clear facial cleanser, then, Truth Be Told skin brightener, and finally, Protect & Reflect SPF 30 sunscreen. Aside from having all natural ingredients, Pretty Mommies products smell incredible! Each step is paraben free, phthalate free, sulfate free and phenoxyethanol free. A light, subtle citrus-y smell that makes you want to smile every time you use it. Let me tell you a bit about each of these 3 steps, one at a time.

I’m not going to lie, this alone is more than I generally spend on any of my skincare products, but it has been completely worth it. It will safely clean your skin without drying it out. Step 2: The Truth Be Told skin brightener is available in a 2 ox. bottle for $69. It provides high amounts of anti-oxidants that help to fight lines, wrinkles and melanoma. The natural anti-inflammatory properties help promote healing and restore the skins natural pH balance. The skin brightener brightens, hydrates and calms down inflammation in your skin, all while improving acne and blemishes because of the natural anti-bacterial ingredients, helping skin stay soft, bright, clear and younger looking. After just the first 3 days, I could see and feel the difference in my skin tone. I have heard of this product before about a year ago, I think it is great to use during a pregnancy.
Yep, with my first pregnancy I was super careful about the type of products I used. I would read ingredient lists carefully and look up everything that looked “suspicious”. Wish I had learned about this brand…they look lovely!
I really wish that I was following “mommy blogs” while I was pregnant with our first. I never knew about different products and the possible effects during pregnancy. These products sound wonderful and I would have loved to try them out while pregnant and even now! I have adult acne which got worse while pregnant until about my 3rd trimester, but I would have still used the Protect & Reflect on my face since the lotion I use now is only 30 SPF and I would like a little bit more since about 10 years ago, I got 2nd degree burns on my face so I got to keep it protected.
I didn’t pay too much attention to my skin during pregnancy, although I wished I had. I was too busy being stressed out.
Yes, I do kinda pay more attention to body care items when I am pregnant and breastfeeding. I love natural skincare products, and really need more of them!
I didn’t use to be so conscious of the products but as I age I tend to pay more attention to the product ingredients.
I am not nor have I ever been a “real” Mommie, but I love the sound of these products, pregnant or not. I have recommended that my cousin’s daughter, who is pregnant, try them.
I wasn’t very aware of the different products I was using the last time I was pregnant, I will definitely look more into this next time around!
