Meg-a-Roo’s Designs is run by just one mama with 3 little ones of her own. She not only has this business, but also has a job outside of the house. She also has a supportive husband to help with cutting and shipping. I am sad to say, Meagan has decided to close up shop (at least for now). Here is the message from her website:
After 5 years and lots of hard work and dedication I’ve come to the time in my life when my business needs to take a back seat to my family. Meg A Roo’s Designs will be closing shop. There will be no more custom orders. What’s left in stock on my hyena cart is all that will be available.
I will list my fabrics for sale on this site in the next few days to try and sell those off as well. So if you’re interested in diaper making fabric or packages please check back.
Thankyou for your support over the last 5 years and I hope I’ve served you well!
THANKYOU AND GOD BLESS—–MEAGAN
Regardless of this fact, I still want to share this prefold with you. First off, I LOVE the extended tabs. They make putting this diaper on really easy! Second, it’s made of bamboo! We all know I love bamboo. It has a bamboo terry outer and bamboo velour inner. The prefolds are made up of 2 layers of bamboo fleece with a 3rd layer in the soaker zone which is stitched down for durability. The top layer is either colorful cotton velour, soft natural bamboo baby terry, or a cute print.
The wings on the extended tab prefold has wings that fold in for a better fit than a regular prefold. Depending on baby’s size, you may only need one pin to secure it. Because of the wings, these prefolds will fit for quite awhile. You can use a snappi with the prints and the Au Naturel, but the colorsplash with velour outers aren’t snappiable.
Extended tab prefolds are available in 3 sizes. Infants 13″ in length and 10.5″ in width, and the tabs are 15″ total in width.
Mid-Range 15″ in length, 12″ in width, and the tabs are 18″ total in width
Premium 18″ in length, 13″ in width, and the tabs are 18″ total in width.
I love love love this prefold. It fits great on both Maggie and Charlie. Plus, something that was surprising to me, it holds up pretty well at night. Not every night, but if all of my night diapers are in the wash, this one will get us through most of the night, if not all night long. It is a bit thicker, so it’s not the thinnest prefold I have used, but it is so absorbent! Have I mentioned I love bamboo? I wondered if it would take a bit longer to dry because it is thicker, and once in awhile, it needs to hang dry for just a bit longer, but generally, it dries as quickly as the rest of the load.
The wipe I reviewed is MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE WIPE! It is so incredibly thick. Each wipe is approximately 6″ x 7.5″. They are serged with rounded edges to prevent fraying. They come in packs of 6 wipes with cotton knit prints on one side and bamboo fleece turned fuzzy side out to make them “extra grabby” on the other side. The wipes are able to clean up anything with only one wipe. Most of my wipes have some fraying around the edges, but there is absolutely none with this wipe. There are only a few packs left, so get them before they are gone.
I am really sad to see Meg-A-Roos closing up shop! Be sure to visit her Hyena Cart store and grab up some extended tab prefolds or other diapers and wipes before they are gone. There is more than diapers though, you can get some household reusable products.
Be sure to stop on over at her facebook page to tell her good bye and good luck! Thanks Meagan for some great products and good luck!
Your chance to win starts January 15th as part of the Snug as a Bug event.

I love the convenience of the all in one’s but this is a super cute prefold. Much cuter than the plain white ones I used on my almost 14 year old!
They didn’t have all these options when my twins were born almost 10 years ago and when my baby was born, we moved and I had a hard time getting into using fluff. I wish I had been able to because these sound so cool!

What a bummer that she’s closing up shop! Hope she has some of these left at least!
They don’t look too bulky! That’s always nice!
Very cute! I wish I could CD right now. We don’t have a washing machine, and washing them by hand isn’t something I want to do..
I’d love to try the teal giraffes fitted diaper!
I’ve never tried prefolds but would love too, especially once I have my third.
Not the average looking prefold. Cute
I never used prefolds (I missed the CD train with the first child) but look forward to using them with baby number 2
I am planning to use prefolds with my new baby (due in May). So sorry to see Meg-A-Roos close!
I have never used prefolds but after reading this review I might give them a try. Thank you
I have just started using prefolds and I like them. I too have trouble sometimes with getting them to wrap easily around my little one so I love the idea of the extended tab. I would love to try one of these!
never used megaroos but love prefolds lying flat in a cover!
Only have one prefold but I am thinking about getting more
I haven’t used this brand, but I like prefolds for naps and night time.
I love prefolds, and I even made some of my own extended tab prefolds which work well, but these look much more “professionally” made and prettier too 🙂
I’m still new to CDing and I haven’t tried prefolds yet. I started out with flats, but I don’t really like them. I will definitely be switching to prefolds!
I haven’t tried prefolds, but I really like the idea of getting “back to basics”, and the extended tabs on the prefolds look great! If I were to jump into using prefolds, I’d definitely choose these over other brands- they look great!
I used prefolds at night when my oldest son was PT, worked great!
I have never used prefolds. I plan to buy a bunch for this baby due in April. I’m thinking Bummis or Clotheez.

I love the look of these the prints and they don’t look too bulky
These prefols look nice. I use a couple different kinds of prefolds but I def dont use snappis anymore…theyre for babies that actually lay still for a diaper change lol so i just fold my prefolds like an insert and they are great that way
I had some of these when my daughter was a newborn. I found the smallest size a little bulky for my taste on a newborn, but they were my perfect diaper during that awkward stage when baby outgrows newborn absorbency and doesn’t quite fit into one size dipes. They are so soft, but SO absorbent! If I was better with a snappi, I would have bought more, but I’m not, and I did find these difficult to pin.
We have a ton of Prefolds we use, it’s nice not having to stuff we just fold them into the covers and go. Very low maintenance.
I only use prefolds occasionally with my toddler, however when baby #2 is born I plan to use mainly prefolds for the newborn stage 🙂
I have never tried prefolds. I just ordered my first cloth diapers fot my 8 mo can’t wait for them to arrive and to start using them
We use prefolds almost exclusively and we really like them!
We haven’t used prefolds very often. We tend to use them every once in a while but plan on using them a ton with the new baby
These look cool! I have never used a prefold that wasn’t made out of cotton so I’d love to try one of these! I like the Jolly Roger – Newborn Fitted too!
We have very little experience with prefolds. We tried them at night but the little guys bum could not handle being wet at night and we ended up using fitteds instead.
I used prefold diapers when my daughter was a newborn. Now that I’m expecting my second child I would love to try this!
I plan to use prefolds with my next baby this Summer. I like how this prefold has longer tabs and can fit longer.
I have always liked prefolds. So sorry she is closing shop.
I have yet to try prefolds myself, I am using AIOs right now but trying ot branch out. Sorry to hear of your shop closing up :-/
I’ve never tried a prefold, but I just received a free snappi in the mail, so maybe I should check them out!
I only have one prefold, and it shares a cover with my only fitted. I have a friend coming over next week who uses them extensively so I can’t wait to pick her brain and learn more!
I must admit, I don’t use my prefolds as much as I should. When I do pull them out I’m always pleasantly surprised 😉
I’ve never used a flat or prefold. I was always too scared. Now, after cding for a year and a half, I think I’d like them over pockets!
When I had my first baby almost 21 years ago there were two choices. Flats and prefolds. I used pre-folds. I used the same system for my 18 year old and my 14 year old. I switched to disposables with my 9 yr. old because by then we no longer had a washer and dryer and the diaper service cost more then disposables. I used pre-folds and fitteds with my 7 yr. old and my 4 yr. old. My current baby doesn’t wear very many pre-folds as I now prefer pockets, AI2s, fitteds and flats.

I like anything she offers in size “premium” since my guy is not yet 2 and is over 30 pounds. Many of the awesome fitteds I have purchased just barely fit any more.
I love using prefolds and covers–so easy!
I have no experience with prefolds, but I have 4 in the mail on their way to me. I am in the process of making a few changes in my current diapering. These look so cute with the different colors.
Prefolds were my diapering staple when I first began cloth diapering 9 years ago. I never stopped using them even after pocket diapers, AIOs & AI2s found their way into my stash.
I actually haven’t used prefolds on my granddaughter but am using flats. The extended tabs would be a great help. Sorry she’s closing shop but props to her for seeing things needed to change and going for it.
I have no experience with cloth diapers in any way! I would love to try some out!
I have not loved prefolds in the past but this one is definitely different- I would love to give it a try!
ilike the wasy the dipaer go on and wish i had them but my family is using diaper as saving from buying disposable and they are more likely to use them
I have not had experience with these, but they sound like they would be easy to clean and quick to dry.
So sad she’s closing her shop. I’m hoping to grab a couple of the Grab & Go Wipe Packs. They look so soft.
Love prefolds so versatile.
ive never used prefolds, i think i own a few but we never used them
I have a few classic style prefolds that I wanted to use on my newborn but couldn’t figure out how. 😉 So I did disposable- until his cord fell off and then I jumped in those pocket diapers so fast! But I hadn’t seen prefolds quite like these, with tabs and snappies. Thanks for the info! God bless!
I haven’t tried prefolds yet, but am willing to!
I LOVE the simplicity of this (and its quick drying) but how cute and soft they are as well. I have been wanting one!
I love prefolds they are my go to diaper. This look amazing. I love that they are made with bamboo and that they have extended tabs !!!!
i love her ETPF these are amazing..
i love her ETPF these are amazing… i also love her wipes..
Never used a prefold with extended wings. Those look awesome!
I don’t have much experience with prefolds, except the ones I have must be newborn, because they are now too small, except to be used as inserts. I did try them with my LO when she was tiny, with a cover, and liked them. <3
We love prefolds. I use them a lot during the day. Makes me feel like I’m saving the most money, and extending the life of my pockets/aios for future kiddos.
I have not used prefolds. I have to say I am a little nervous about them and trying to get it right and don’t want to scare my husband off of cloth diapering.
These look great! I have had very bad experiences with prefolds. My daughter used to leak through them everytime she peed. With the plastic cover over them, it seemed like a sauna inside. Could not have been comfortable for her. I am glad they have Megaroos now.
wow! I’ve never seen a prefold like that! it looks great! I love bamboo too! 😀
