Sponsor Spotlight: Jack Be Natural and Go Green Champ 2.0 *Review*

I am excited to introduce you to another one of my fabulous Mother’s Day Cloth Diaper Giveaway sponsors

Jack Be Natural was kind enough to send me a Go Green Champ 2.0 Diaper to review. We choose the lipstick love print.  I was very excited.  I’ve seen a lot of reviews on this diaper, but haven’t had the chance to try one out for myself.  And…it came in a cute little Jack’s Napsack which my daughter has stolen from me already.

About Jack Be Natural
As a middle class family of four and aspiring entrepeneurs who are obsessed with their children’s health and well being, Stacy and John make a conscious effort to use natural and / or organic products while still taking the time to learn what is safe and what isn’t.  Combining their passion for what is natural and their entrepeneurial spirit resulted in Jack Be Natural.  Their mantra:  educate other parents on the advantages of natural baby products while offering them at fair and affordable prices.  This allowed them to fulfill their dream of owning a business.

My Opinion
This diaper worked really well for us.  First off, I LOVE minky fabric.  It’s so soft, and the lipstick love print is so cute!  We wanted the tiger, but they were out.  If we have a boy now, he may not love the lipstick love but he will be wearing it!  I really like the suedecloth lining.  I have noticed that it doesn’t seem to pill as much as some of the fabrics, plus it is more lightweight which I like because it gets very hot here sometimes!
I love dual gussets on pretty much any diaper.  We have never had a problem with messy diapers getting out, but these are sure to prevent that.  *One of daddy’s favorite features*
Dual gussets, suedecloth lining and pocket covers.  The elastic is pulled together a little tighter at the back of the waist making for a very snug fit.
The snap in insert is very absorbent.  I love that the insert snaps in and this one stays snapped during the wash and dry cycles, but still agitates out to get clean.  This was nice because it meant no searching for the right insert when stuffing my pocket diapers.  This also meant no need to unstuff prior to washing.  A big plus in my book!  I don’t like touching a wet or poopy insert to pull it out prior to washing.  This diaper also has a front and back cover over the pocket openings on both ends which helps keep the messes from getting inside the pocket.

Nice tight fit.

The tabs on the Go Green Champ 2.0 are more square than most diapers I have used.  This helped to get a very snug fit around her waist.  There are also hip snaps on this diaper to keep the sides in place. The elastic in the back of the diaper is a little tighter than I have seen on other diapers, but when I put this diaper on her, it ensures a very snug fit every single time.

I am curious how this diaper will fit the baby.  I am always leery of one size diapers for newborns because they seem so bulky.  This diaper gets small enough, but I am wondering if the leg holes get small enough, but it does have cross over tabs so I think it will fit alright around the waist.  The diaper looks like it should fit a larger kid.  Maggie is 20 pounds and still is on the 2nd smallest setting, so she has tons of room to grow.

What I would change

I wish this diaper came with a bamboo insert instead of microfiber, but that’s a personal preference for me.

I would recommend the Go Green Champ 2.0.  It fit our daughter well and did not leak.  For overnights, I would use another insert.  We had it on her for 4 hours and it was still holding up pretty good, but I don’t think it would make it through the night.   Plus at only $15.95 each, the Go Green Champ 2.0 is very affordable.
