The best part of listening to Maggie pray is that she starts each prayer with Thank You God. That simple phrase can brighten any day. Plus, it has helped her to remember to be thankful for the things we do have. She follows up that simple, yet powerful phrase with, thank you for……and lists whatever is on her brilliant young mind.
One thing she always prays for is her friends, Hallie and Zoe and their parents. Hallie and Maggie have been buddies since they were only a few months old. I am very thankful for them!
She also prays for Charlie. A lot. She really loves him. A lot. Hehe.
Don’t forget the dogs. We are very thankful for them.
Those are just a few of the things that we are thankful for. We are so thankful for the large families we have. And for our amazing friends who keep me sane every day. We are very thankful for John because he works so hard so that I can stay home and raise our children. For the pretty full refrigerator. For our house that is always a bit messy but that is because of all of the things we own. I’m also thankful that some of those things will be donated to a lady for her little 7 month old who has no toys at all and will be getting some for Christmas. I’m thankful for our church. We have made friends there and it, and the people in it are a part of our family.
I am especially thankful for our beautiful, strong, HEALTHY children and that we have an amazing pediatrician who understands our feelings and cares about our children with her vast knowledge. I am so thankful that I get to be a mom. That is something I am forever grateful for. Without these kids, I would be so lost. Thank you God for providing these things for us.
Happy Thanksgiving! What are you thankful for this year?
Each week, we are linking up for Tuesday’s Toddler Tales. This week’s topic is what we are thankful for. Next week’s topic is how big of a family we would like to have.
I love kids who say genuine thank-you prayers!
