Tommee Tippee
I was sent 2 different products to test out; An Explora Easiview cup and a Chewther.
My daughter was SO excited when I opened the delivery box and she saw the cup. She LOVES sippy cups so this was a perfect product to have her test out. As a parent, I have found it very difficult to find a sippy cup that I love!
A few fun facts about the cup. It’s designed for 6+ months. Has a soft flex spout, a hygiene cap, is BPA free and the active sensor valve is designed by a physicist.
The first thing I noticed was the color – a blue color that I love. The cup is rubber coated around the edges which is great because she drops her cups a lot….once in awhile, she even throws it. Just yesterday, she tripped and fell with the cup in her hand. She landed pretty hard and so did the cup, but the cup held up and didn’t break. We did learn from this little fall that she jarred the cup hard enough to knock the stoppers loose though. They went back in place and it continues to work great for us. Maggie also likes that there are handles on both sides of the cup.
There are two stoppers inside the lid that snap together securely and snap in and out of the cup easily. I did forget to pull them out once when I washed the cup, and when I pulled it out of the dishwasher, I noticed it still stunk like old milk. Not a big deal since you are supposed to remove the stoppers.
The soft flex spout on this cup is great for Maggie. She is a late teether, just now getting her 6th tooth so she likes to bite on the spout of this cup to sooth her teeth. After a month of this, I don’t see her teeth marks or any signs that the cup is getting ruined from her teething on it. She does seem to have to work a little harder to get her drink out of this cup, but it doesn’t seem to bother her one bit.
My very FAVORITE part of this cup is the hygiene lid. It’s nice having the cover attached to the spout so it can’t get lost.
I have had a very hard time finding a sippy cup that doesn’t leak and has a lid. It seems all of the ones we have and like are one or the other. We have only found one before that we like, didn’t leak, and had a cover. That cup was $6.99 and my dog bit the nipple out of it one day and I have a hard time spending that much money on one cup.
My overall reaction to this cup is LOVE!
This would be a perfect cup for my lil misses. She has a habit of constantly making her juice and milk ‘spill’ on the floor. This way, she can try but wont win 😉
Maggie loves to shake them and see if she can make milk come out, but it wouldn’t work with this cup.
