We haven’t had a popcorn and movie night in awhile, but as this pregnancy progresses, and I imagine after the baby is born, we will probably have them a little more often because mommy needs some downtime sometimes.
For the latest movie viewing pleasure, a crowd favorite, Frozen.
While movie night in and of itself is pretty fun, there are a few things I do to make it extra fun. If I don’t do something, Charlie will be done watching it in about 10 minutes, if he even makes it that long. I’m all about simple, so I don’t get too crazy with amping up our movie night.
1. Make sure you have enough seating. We have a big old couch, but that never seems to last long. They lay on the floor, the kids couch, the bean bags, sit in their chairs from their reading area, on each other, in the tent, you name it.
2. Be creative. Change it up a little. How about a drive in movie night? Yep, we brought in the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe for tonights movie.
3. Make the best popcorn ever. That means, don’t burn it! Let’s face it, there is absolutely nothing worse than burned microwave popcorn. The house smells, the popcorn tastes bad, ugh! But don’t worry. Pop Secret has a new app to make this part of life even better!
The Perfect Pop App can be downloaded for free from the App Store onto your iPhone 5+ on iOS 7+. Then, put the bag of Pop Secret popcorn into the microwave and enter the suggested cooking time located on the package. This app is designed to only work with Pop Secret popcorn. Then, turn up the volume on your iPhone. Point the phone’s speaker towards the microwave and keep within 3 feet. Start the microwave, then start the app. While the popcorn is popping, keep your eyes on your iPhone for some fun facts and trivia. The app listens to your popcorn popping and tells you the precise moment when your popcorn is perfect!
Pop Secret is really excited about the new Perfect Pop app. Not only do they want you to go download the FREE app, but they would love for you to take this quick, one question brand survey.
What do you do to make movie night even better in your house? What are some of your favorite movies?
