I had passed over this book every time I looked through the website or catalog because it just didn’t seem that impressive to me. I was so ridiculously wrong. I had a customer order it and the order arrived at my house so I got to check it out. I immediately added it to my wish list. The toughest part was deciding which book in the series I wanted first – how things grow, our world, or food. I decided on How Things Grow since it was garden planting time. I love that this could be used as part of a science curriculum for toddlers, preschool or kindergarten.
It starts out with simple questions like, “How many different green plants can you find?” You learn about the different types of plant seeds and how they spread. The questions at the end of the sections allow kids to quiz themselves and check the answers in the back of the book. There is a ton of information in this book and it’s laid out in such a fun and engaging way for kids. {I am a consultant for Usborne books so I get commission on all purchases through my links. Very First Reference Book About How Things Grow
We really love this book and I can’t wait to get the other books in the series. See the rest of our favorites on our Books We Love page.
This looks like a great book for preschool age children! Thank you!
