Starting out our venture in cloth diapers, pocket diapers seemed to be the easiest, most popular choice, and from what I can see, they still are. Because of the ease of adjusting the absorbency, they can work for any baby. As far as pocket diapers go, Glow Bug Cloth Diapers are a very affordable option, if you are brand new to cloth diapers, you can have your very own, brand new stash of 12 diapers for only $150, or a stash of 24 for only $300. Plus, each set of diapers is packaged in a free wet bag!
I have had the chance to review Glow Bug Cloth Diapers before, you can read my thoughts on them here and here. I was still excited to review another one because they now have a 360 degree gussets! Awesome, right?! While I haven’t had any poopscape problems with the old version, double the protection, especially for newborns is fantastic.
Glow Bug Cloth Diapers are one size cloth diapers designed to fit from 7-35 pounds. You adjust the size by snapping up or down the rise settings on the diaper. These diapers have 4 different rise options to get the best possible fit for your little ones. The rise snaps are 3 across so you don’t get a big old puffy spot in the center of the diaper.
The front of the diaper features a double row of 10 snaps {total of 20} to fit a wide range of waist sizes. Plus, each wing of the diaper features 3 snaps, 2 on top, 1 on bottom to prevent the sides of the diaper from drooping {wing droop}. While many diapers I see only have one set of crossover snaps, there is also a double set of crossover snaps on the diaper for those extra small waists. The square tabs on the wings create a nice trim fit on the hips. The snaps on each diaper are color coordinating creating a gorgeous look on the diapers.
There is a {new, improved} waterproof flap on both ends of the diaper to help prevent any wicking from the inserts sticking out of the diaper. The elastic at both the legs and back of the diaper is gentle on baby’s skin and won’t leave red marks. The inside is made with slim dry fabric to keep baby’s skin dry {helping to avoid rashes} without the bulk. Did I mention, one thing I really love about our Glow Bug Cloth Diapers is that they are very trim for a pocket diaper.
Each package of Glow Bug Cloth Diapers includes a set of 18 microfiber inserts. The inserts snap right into the diaper just underneath the waterproof flap. The inserts also snap right into each other, yet, because of the slim dry fabric, the snaps never touch baby’s skin. The best part – because of the openings on both ends of the diaper, the insert will agitate itself out in the wash which means no unstuffing dirty diapers! It also means, quick, easy adjustment and snapping in of the inserts. The pocket openings are also large enough for even the biggest of daddy hands.
The snaps are reinforced with an extra piece of fabric to prevent them from ripping out if pulled too hard.
As you can see, we get a great, snug fit with Charlie wearing his Glow Bug Cloth Diapers.
Glow Bug Cloth Diapers are sold in packages of either boy, girl or gender neutral and have super adorable prints! Stay connected on Facebook and Twitter.
Starting October 1st, you can win 2 Glow Bug Cloth Diapers along with more great prizes in the Fresh Fluff Laundry Hop Grand Prize!
How much did you spend to start your cloth diaper stash?
I love their new design. We use glow bug diapers as part of our night time routine as the pockets are so roomy.
I would love to try these! My diaper collections to a stash of many different brands and types. So far my favorites have been the WAHMama Companies!

My original stash cost less than $150. It was 24 diapers and we made it work for our first baby. It was all we could afford at the time. My current stash is worth much more though! 🙂 And cloth diapering has more than paid for itself. I couldn’t imagine where we would be financially if we had used disposables…plus…those fluffy butts are so stinking cute! I would love to try a glowbug diaper. The 360 gussets intrigue me.

I love the idea of a 360 degree gusset. And no stuffing, just snapping inserts in…great time saver! I’d love to try these diapers!
I absolutely love the quality of these diapers! It seems they thought of everything! They are also some of the cutest around.
Well, to be honest, my first stash with my youngest daughter and eldest boy was free, my grandmother bought me some prefolds and those horrible vinyl covers from Wally Land. With my youngest son, I spent $60 on 17 Baby City/Baby Land pockets. They didn’t last 6 moths and I invested money on some Thirsites and a few WAHM covers and pockets. I’m not fully addicted to trying new diapers. I like that these have the 360 gussets and the hip snaps! I can’t express how much I like the idea of hip snaps, especially for a one size, I hate when excess sides fall out and are the cause of a blow out.
Their design is really interesting. It’s like a combo between Gdiaper’s pouches and an AI2.

I am impressed! I want to try this diaper! Looks very well made, very adjustable and LOVE love love the idea of the 360 degree gussets!
It’s hard to say where our stash started as I managed to win a few of them 🙂 Love the look of the new glowbug. Adorable print, still nice and trim. was quite curious about the 360 feature so thanks for the pics very helpful
The gusset looks very interesting. Looking forward to trying it out in the future.
I’ve just started building my stash so I can’t really say how much it will cost to start out.
These diapers look interesting, and I like double gussets, but I wonder if the 360 gusset will be irritating especially in the back.
Those gussets sure would be useful in preventing blowouts!
Such a cute print and a gorgeous fit! Loveit.

the prints are soo cute and love anything with a double gusset, but i wish they sold the diapers individually.
I would love to try this diaper, I’m interested to see the 360 degree gusset in action. 🙂
I love how small and trim they get! And that there are snaps in the pocket!

Wow I’ve never seem a pocket diap with gussets before. I think this could fix my LO’s leaking problem. At night even with two inserts she seems to leak around the legs. I bet this would fix that.
Have you tried adjusting the rise setting on the diapers? Sometimes it can be fixed as easy as that.
My stash cost $200, but it has been greatly expanded by hand-me-downs from my sisters-in-law.
I like that snaps and the waterproof flap on both ends
I have one Glow Bug that I bought through their co-op. I really love the prints and how trim the diaper is!
Wow, I really like the prints and the affordability of the diapers.
These diapers sound really good. I like the idea of the 360 degree gusset and the variety of snapping options.
I’ve recently fallen in love with pockets, so Glow Bug has been one of those brands that caught my eye. I love the 360 double gusset aspect. And that “daddy hands” could fit to stuff them. Although to make it as simple as possible for Dad to use cloth I pre stuff everything, lol/. Thanks also for the chance to win one, since we just had baby #3 the stash building budget is a little tight.
I have two of these, and love how they fit such a huge weight range comfortably.
That’s a beautiful diaper and it looks like they thought of everything to get a great fit, secure absorbency, and comfort. The price is nice, too!
I am kind of falling in love with how chinese diapers always have new and interesting prints. You don’t see many of these kinds of prints with US made.

I love that they fit down to 7 lbs!
I have that same diaper! It is the only Glow Bug we own (won it) and I just put it on DD for the first time. I love the idea of the 360 gussets, and her first time she pooped, so I got to see them work! Kept everything in the middle! A little trickier to spray clean, but I got everything out!
I just love there name and there prints
How much did I spend to start my stash?
Well I started out with some prefolds, Flip covers, and Flip inserts. It was about $250 and then I ended up selling it all and buying some fitteds. In all I’ve probably spent around $500 thought my stash is probably worth more than that. I was blessed with a lot of gifts of cloth diapers. 🙂

Wow, this diaper looks amazing! 4 different adjustment sizes and all around gussets, goes down to 7 lbs. Very versatile. Would love to try it.
As a start, less than $200. I bought 24-36 prefolds, 5 covers, and 2 pockets.

This seems like a great affordable option for those who dont have even the resources for a higher quality stash.
It looks like it gets a great fit and the quality is outstanding. I will definitely look into trying these out as I build my stash.
I am about to have my first baby and plan on cloth diapering. This diaper looks great, plus the one reviewed is really cute! I’m looking forward to trying out various types and brands of diapers to find what works best for us and the baby. This brand/style looks great!
These seem like they would be great diapers to start out of fluff collection. I really would like to start cloth diapering! The patterns on these diapers are adorable.
I do not have a stash yet. Hoping to win one 🙂 Baby due date spring 2014
I am so excited about these. We’re thinking about getting more cloth diapers for when our second baby is here. I was thinking Rumparooz, but they’re about $25 each…or I could get 12 Glow Bug CDs for the price of 6 RaR. Wow. That’s quite a difference! Thanks for your review! I really hope I win one to try it out before making a big investment!
I just love that it comes with a free wet bag and how can you not love the 360 degree gussets.
i spent about $230, that includes wipes, prefolds, 18 fitteds, covers, and woolies.
Wow – 360 gussets. I have one glow bug diaper from a couple of years ago and it had gussets along the legs, but I’m intrigued by the 360 gussets. Thanks for the great review!
I am really intrigued by the 360 degree gussets. I wonder how they thought that up?
Wow, these are some high tech cloth diapers! we sure have come a long way from the cloth diapers of the past that my Mother used. CUTE designs too!
Love the adorable prints 😀

These look like awesome diapers, and the pattern is cute!
looks very well made and adjustable . that’s what I like. it will be more fitted. awesome product. hope to try it.
Wow, that looks like a nice diaper. I would love to try them but can’t ever seem to get together that much money. 🙂 They kinda look like a cross between a much better fitting Alva Baby diaper and have modified the Itti Bitti U shaped gusset. That might be helpful if you had a boy. I have looked at these several times and I like the prints. 🙂
It doesn’t look like to Slim dry material goes all the way up in the back, and the pocket doesn’t look that big either. Wish I could get my hands on one of these to test it out! I’m looking for diapers that will really fit through potty training because my son is growing out of his RaR, bGs, and Thirsties.
I love the cute prints and that the inserts snap in. I hate when inserts move out of place. I would love to try this diaper
I really like the 360 poop fence! They have a great array of prints too!
Such a pretty print. I love all the extra snaps, especially at the waist. My DD has a tiny tummy and sometimes have a hard time finding diapers that fit well at the waist.
I keep hearing about how great glowbug diapers are for night time. We’ve had leaky diapers for the last 6 nights. I have a tummy sleeper who’s probably going thru another growth spurt….
Love love love the floral pattern in these photos!
I love these diapers. The fit great!
I love that the inserts snap in so they won’t move around!

I wonder why it is that this company only allows you to purchase 6, 12, or 24 diapers at a time. I wish you could buy them individually!
love the guesst and the snap in insert awesome time saver!
Super cute, and good resale value.
i actually dont have any cloth diapers yet, this brand looks like a good one to start out with.
We have a GlowBug Diaper and love it!!

Love the 360 degree gussets!
I wonder if the TPU that sticks out at the top would irritate baby’s skin? I’ve heard the flaps don’t lay down so the microfiber inserts could irritate the skin. I still really want to try these, though!!
I like the double crossover snaps and the 360 degree double gusset. Nice to see such an affordable diaper made well!

I can’t wait to try one of these! I’m still building my stash, but I haven’t spent much yet.
We are still working on our stash but so far about 200$ for the two children we have in diapers now, we have not even started a stash for the baby due in a couple months! I am really wanting to try out this 360 gusset, especially on the newborn. I had never heard of glowbug until this review and am very interested now!
Love the pattern! I’ve heard great things about Glow Bug!
I love the gussets. I also really like how unique many of the prints are with Glow Bug. So many to choose from– you could have a whole stash!
I use glow bug cloth diapers and love them. great product!
I haven’t started a stash, but I’d like to. 🙂 We’re thinking of switching our youngest or prepare for our next. 🙂
We spent $385 on our second hand diapers. I wish I had known about Glowbugs when I was shopping for diapers. We could have bought a completely brand new stash for less than what I spent on used diapers!
That is such a cute diaper! I love the idea of the 360 gussets as I’ve had a couple of runny bf poops escape on my diapers.
There are SO many cloth diaper brands out there, and I had not heard of “Glow Bug Cloth Diapers”. I love the print, and their snap system! Thanks for sharing.
I love that the glow bugs have the 360 degree gussets
I just love the wrap snaps. It would seem to just a little harded for my little one to get out of
Love the 360 degree gussets
Amanda recently posted…As worthless as that lemon-shaped rock
Looks like an all around solid diaper! I will say, the 360 degree gussets are pretty interesting. Extra protection against a back blowout!
Really want to try a GlowBugs! They seem like they will have just the right fit!
Id love to give these a try ith #2 due n March. Such cute prints!
I love that they agitate out in the wash. There’s nothing worse than unstuffing.
I seen this print on Glow bug Diaper’s FB page tonight and I love it. I would be the perfect diaper to add to my stash. It is slowly growing before my baby girl arrives in Jan or Feb, due date is FEB 3
