Faith Journeys Bible Study Series Review

We talk A LOT about things for my kids – what works, what doesn’t, what we love and can’t wait to share with you – so much about my small crew but today, let’s change it up. Let’s talk about a bible study for YOU! I recently had the opportunity to review two bible studies from Julie Naturally. The first is Faith Journeys Bible Study Series: Romans bundle and the second is Faith Journeys Bible Study Series: Philippians .

Faith Journeys Bible Study Series: Romans bundle is where I started. I spend a lot of time in my garage working and the way this bible study is set up seems to really be working well for me. This eight week study is clearly laid out. It tells you what verses to read for that day. Answer the questions to go with that day – usually around four questions and sometimes some things to note about those verses. The questions encourage you to look inside yourself and your life to think about how it relates to your life. There are printable Bible memory verses and coloring pages. Each week, there is a video to listen or watch at the beginning of the week. I listen to it while I’m working in the garage because that is when my world is the calmest. I find myself nodding to things she is saying and talking about and as you listen, you hear her speaking about things in her past, her life and that really sits well with me. It feels very relatable to me which encourages me and keeps me going through the study. The questions for the day end with things to pray about, ways to change a behavior that you should let go, and encouraging thoughts to go out in your world, your community and make a difference.

Faith Journeys Bible Study Series: Philippians is a four week study. Now – I haven’t started using this one yet but I wanted to look through it a bit so I could share a little about it with you. This study is similar to the Romans study although there are not videos for this study. With the same layout – read the marked Bible verses and answer the questions about those verses and also how it relates to your life, your church, etc.. The end of that weekly study has a lovely coloring page. I’m excited to get started on this study after the New Year.

If you are looking for a Bible study to do from home that doesn’t take a large chunk out of your day – gives these a shot. Each lesson can be completed in around fifteen minutes. One thing I would love to see that isn’t included is a way to chat with others who are doing or have done this study. A place where we can ask questions, get clarifications or just comment things like – Hey! That really hit me and I have a story that I want to share or something along those lines.
