If you have been following my blog, or know me at all, you know that I LOVE pizza. Seriously love it. I’m pretty sure I could eat pizza just about every day and be happy about it. But….in order to limit myself, we have pizza night once a week. Most of the time we get frozen pizza because delivery never gets here still hot and who wants cold pizza for dinner? But, I had almost forgotten about Papa Murphy’s Take ‘n’ Bake pizza. When I lived closer to the cities, we had their pizza a lot. Then, we bought our house out here, and I tend to forget about the Papa Murphy’s store about 20 minutes away, but not anymore!
I love Papa Murphy’s pizza, and was really excited to hear about the new Papa Murphy’s Fresh Pan pizza! The kids and I had to run a bunch of errands, so I was so grateful to be able to walk into the store, choose what we wanted to eat, and watch them put fresh ingredients on it right in front of our eyes. Then, we got to take it all home, toss it in the oven and eat.
Have I mentioned the great prices? I pay $7 for a frozen pizza, and for that same $7, I could get a fresh, handmade pan pizza for dinner. We actually picked up two pizzas, breadsticks {because their breadsticks are the best!} and a dessert smores pizza because it looked amazing. The best part is, we got all of that for $20 and it fed us for two meals. And we always toss in a vegetable like carrots and dip.
But now, the real test. Was the new, fresh pan pizza good? You have to judge for yourself, but we devoured it. I guess John had never had Papa Murphy’s, probably because I make pizza when he won’t be home. Boy has he been missing out! He loved it, and so did the rest of us. This pizza snob gives it two thumbs up for deliciousness.
The fresh pan pizza crust comes out with a perfect, golden brown, buttery, delicious crust that will have your mouth watering before you even take it out of the oven! Crispy on the outside, and just right on the inside. I was worried that it would cook up crisp on the outside and doughy on the inside, but that was not the case. The NEW pan pizza was amazing and will be replacing our frozen pizzas as long as I remember to pick them up!
Find the Papa Murphy’s nearest you and kick up pizza night a notch.
