When she sent me the diaper to review, she surprised me with a newborn cover to review for my little man as well. I cannot express how excited…it was our first newborn diaper we had at the time and it is so cute and little, just like the little man himself! The diaper cover I received is an adorable giraffe print with color coordinated snaps.
There are two sets of snaps on each wing (4 snaps on each wing), 6 snaps across the front top, and 8 snaps across the bottom of the front to get a much tighter fit around baby’s little thighs. I love that extra snap on the bottom row. We were able to get a perfect, snug fit around his little bird legs from day 1! The cover also has double cross over snaps on the wings so you can get a great fit on that tiny waist and snap both sets of snaps to keep it in place. There is also stretchy, soft elastic on the back and around both leg openings. This allows the diaper to stretch to fit your baby without leaving red marks.

The cover is made of 2 layers of waterproof PUL (polyurethane laminate) fabric that is breathable to minimize diaper rash, hypoallergenic, stretch, abrasion – resistant, fade – resistant, lead free, Bisphenol – A (BPA) free and phalatate free. And, it is made in the USA!
We have used our Smush Tush diaper cover EVERY SINGLE DAY since Charlie was born. He was born at 8 lbs, 7 ounces, and is now 13 lbs, 2 ounces and the cover has fit perfectly the entire time. Kathryn did mention that she usually stocks velcro newborn covers, but does do snaps if that is what is preferred. The cover is made from quality fabric – after 2 1/2 months of using it every night, there are no flaws in the diaper at all. It washes out really well and dries quickly.
Charlie man is a very heavy wetter – I have had a hard time finding a nighttime solution so that him and I don’t end up sleeping in pee. Pairing this diaper cover over some fitted diapers has worked perfectly! This was the only solution that worked, and as it turned out, our Smush Tush diaper cover is the only cover we have that fit him while he was this small.

I cannot say enough good things about this cover. Kathryn puts her skills to work to create this fantastic diaper cover. When it’s time for baby #3, I will definitely be needing some more of these covers! I LOVE this cover and would recommend these to anybody!

I love the giraffes! I wish all my covers came with crossover snaps! We are still crossing over about half of our diapers on our 1 year old because he’s just so itty bitty.
