When I heard about the Babywearing Workout, I knew I had to check it out. This sounded like it was made for me. Kelli had the same idea. Kelli was a new mom who wanted to lose the baby weight. She had struggled a bit with her weight throughout her life, and when she gained weight with the pregnancy, she didn’t really think much of it. As I was reading about Kelli on her website, I kept shaking my head yes. I felt the same way, about many of the things she mentions. Attachment parenting is as important to her as it is to me, so naturally, she was wearing baby Kayla quite often.
She found herself bouncing around trying to get her to sleep. She kind of had that aha moment when she decided to start adding exercise to her babywearing. You see, when you get that fancy gym membership and a personal trainer, they start you out with lighter weights, and increase as you go. Turns out, your baby does the same thing! As baby gains weight, your exercise increases.
As I did the workout, Charlie kept smiling at me. Such a little cutie. And Maggie was wearing her baby doll and exercising right along with me. It was super cute (sorry, I didn’t get those pictures). Now, I wear Charlie quite a bit as it is. He sleeps in it a lot. Plus, he’s a chunker, and I lift both kids and toss them around a lot, so I felt like my arms were in pretty good shape. Boy was I wrong!!!
About halfway through, my arms were so sore! And, I was sweating. This was a better workout than I was expecting. I loved that I was able to get a good workout in which I normally have trouble with because Maggie wants to copy me and Charlie wants to be in on the action as well. I look forward to being able to do this workout almost daily, and love that Maggie and Charlie get to see me working out too. I also really like that you can incorporate these moves anywhere you go. Kelli also remembers to help you warm up and stretch out and cool down to prevent injuries.
I did notice that the download took a little while, but that very likely was my laptop. It’s older and I always have about 15 screens open. I know that I would be more comfortable with a soft structured carrier when I do this because Charlie likes to keep his arms out and I feel like we need a little more support, but I love this wrap and it’s more comfortable than my other carrier.

How do you find time to workout with little kids?
*Disclosure: I received a copy of the Babywearing Workout for the purpose of this review. All opinions are 100% my own and influenced only by my experience with the product and company.*
Working out with little one’s is definitely challenging at times. We have never tried a baby carrier though, I think this might make it easier to go on things like family walks and have hands free for our toddler with the newborn in the carrier.
Babywearing workout! That’s brilliant. I want to check this out right away, it would certainly help 1 of the 3 distractions I have when trying to work out!
dude this is totally amazing.. i need to do this..
I exercise with my daughter all the time. I carry her around. And now that she is bigger, we like to dance together!
I usually work out during naptime when I actually do work out. But this is really awesome because I love to babywear and I could do it while my baby is awake!
I use a jogging stroller. My son behaves most of the time.
I have involve the kids and make it seem like we are just having fun and not simply exercising. LOL!
that a great idea as long as the littleone wou not move around much
Great idea to combine the idea of moms putting baby to sleep and wanting to workout. Babies love the sway and bouncing movements plus this gives moms the added benefit of health.
My husband usually takes over and I run to the gym for about an hour or so – teamwork is a great thing 🙂
Absolutely love it! I have a 4 month old baby boy who is very fussy so he likes to be carried and when I finally get him to be by himself on his bouncy chair or swing it’s only for maximum 10 minutes so it wouldn’t be enough for me to work out , this is a great product where I can do my workout and please my boy 🙂
This looks like such a good workout! I wish I had known about this when my little one was younger but I have a friend that just had a baby and could use it.

This looks great! I find time to workout because my husband is a teacher and is home by midafternoon, so I can go out and run when he’s home!
I tried working out with my boys when they were babies, but they were WAY too big!! I’d love to do a great workout like this… can I borrow a baby??
i play with them in ways that workout like dancing running playing tag
This workout kills your arms, but it is so fun and brings closeness between mom and baby while promoting health. What more could you ask for?!
My husband keeps the kiddos and I go every night!
I really hope to win this workout! Outside of walking, I rarely get a good workout in. I am buying this tomorrow even if I don’t win! I can’t wait to wear my dd, wrap a doll on my son and start working out, it’s going to be great!
