Each pad is made from microfiber and attaches to the bottom of your swiffer using the velcro on the bottom of the wet jet. They go on and off the swiffer the same as the disposable pads do. Each pad has channels stitched in them to help the liquid flow over the floor and the pad.
Pushing the wet jet with these pads is a little more work, they don’t slide quite as easily across the floor, but the savings are so worth it! We can spend $17.00 for a 24 count box of disposable pads that won’t even last us a few months or spend $7.00 on a few cloth wetjet pads that will last a year or longer, and that’s if you use them every single day! On top of that, these microfiber pads pick up way more dirt than the disposable ones do. Like I said, I had to use 3 of them at a time. With the cloth pads, just one gets the job done. At some point, we are going to be getting some more because I really want the pink and purple now!
Heather, in all of her awesomeness, also sells microfiber hand mitts and sent us one of those to check out as well. The mitts are 4″ x 4″ and fit right on your fingers to dust anywhere those hands can reach. You can purchase the dust mitts in sets of 4 for just $4.00. They are a great size and because they fit right over your fingers, they can clean just about anywhere! I think these are genius, my 2 year old uses it and cleans pretty much everything in the house with it. You can use them for cleaning or drying, or just about anything else as well. If it gets dirty, you can just flip it inside out and use the other side to clean as well.
Both the hand mitts and the wetjet pads are serged along the edges and are very durable. Be sure to visit Heather’s Green Home Goods for all of your home, eco friendly needs, including cloth diapers. You can also find her on Facebook.
