Have you heard? It’s football season!!!! A few weeks into the season and I’m so excited! I love making “football day” a big deal in our house. The kids all know and get excited too, we all wake up and start saying – it’s FOOTBALL DAY! I never knew football with three small kids could be so much fun, but they are big football fans just like me. Since we make it a big deal, I like to do a little something special, even if nobody else is watching the game with us, after all, being silly is what halftime is all about. I’m excited to tell you about how I threw together this fun little party atmosphere in minutes when I heard we were going to have some company for the game. Check out our football photo booth and grab the FREE printable football photo booth props.
Between getting ready for Maggie’s birthday party last weekend and Henry’s birthday party this coming week, making a few signs for customers, homeschool and life in general, I knew I didn’t have time to get too crazy but I really wanted to have some fun with the kids on football day. While I was out running errands, I was planning ahead and picked up a few things. First off is food. I was all about simple, no prep food this time. I picked up some SNICKERS® Crisper bars for a special treat I knew everybody would love. Since they have a great deal on them at CVS with this digital coupon, how could I pass them up? When my quick errand can be a one stop shop, my life is so much easier! I love this time of year because you can even get SNICKERS® with the special football packaging. What football fan doesn’t love that?! I made some popcorn, some meatballs and our party was ready to rock.
The decorating is always my favorite party. I recently discovered after Maggie’s party how much I love using disposable tablecloths to decorate. I stocked up on some colors I thought would make for a fun football party – black, white and green. Shortly before game time, I got everything ready. For the food table, I bunched up a tablecloth and stuck it to clear packing tape, then onto the wall. I alternated colors along the wall behind the food table. On the table, I put black tablecloths on the ends and a white one in the center. I used my cute football bowls and we were all set.
I love doing photo booths! They are always so much fun and people can get silly with them. A football theme just makes it more awesome. For the backdrop, I used two green tablecloths, bunching them up and draping them over the back of my backdrop stand. Then I used a white tablecloth bunched up. I alternated two greens and one white across the entire backdrop stand and then added a black one to each end. I wanted it to resemble the football field. I created a TOUCHDOWN banner, taped it to twine, hung it up and I think it turned out perfectly!

What props will be your favorites? My daughter loves the pom poms. Charlie loved the football and kept trying to throw it. Everybody that was here just had fun being silly and the adults loved our treat choice. We had so much fun watching football, cheering and having some fun! When we were done, I carefully took down the tablecloths and stored them away for the next game day celebration. Hopefully we’ll have some friends stop out again for the game and some fun next weekend.
Great idea! Love the printables and I can’t wait to use them this season! (client)
