July 4th fun {+Tuesday’s Toddler Tales linky}

We had a cabin getaway for the 4th of July – me, the kids, and a bunch of other people.  We headed to the cabin on Wednesday for what may have been the longest trip to the cabin ever!  The weather was beautiful, although it was extremely buggy out.  If you ask Maggie what you do if you see a mosquito, she says you clap it.  It’s so funny.

We had some beach fun, Maggie had A LOT of tire swing fun, saw her first glow bug, made a bird feeder, and Charlie just kept going and going.  We do games every year for the kids and adults.  I will post more about them later, but for now, here are the pictures I did get before the battery died on my camera.Here are some pictures from our 4th of July.

Oh yeah, and I can’t forget to show off the kids’ awesome new toddler bed from my friend Katie.

Did I mention that we played a lot of card games?  Seriously, A LOT!  I even got to win a few of them.
What did you do to celebrate Independence day?
