Do you still send out Christmas cards each year? I always look forward to getting that first card in the mail. There is something special, almost magical about it and I can’t wait to fill up our wall. My favorites are always the picture Christmas cards. Even though Facebook is awesome for being able to see friends and family as they post pictures throughout the year, there is nothing like a Christmas card in the mail with pictures of the people you love hanging on your wall.
I can never decided what takes me longer – picking out the card I love or picking out the pictures I want to use. I love finding a personalized Christmas card for our family that captures our favorite moments throughout the year. I remember when we only had Maggie. I loved designing that first Christmas card with 12 pictures, one for each month of her first year. Now we have three busy little babes and I’m beginning our search for this year’s Christmas card. I can’t decide if I want a card with just one picture of the kids, or even a picture of our whole family, or a card with three or more pictures.
There are so many ways to customize your Christmas cards and I’ve had tons of fun scrolling through the large selection of personalized Christmas cards at Minted.com.
Even if you aren’t on the Christmas card bandwagon, there are some fantastic gift ideas. Last year I ordered the kids and I personalized planners. They loved picking out the pictures to use on theirs, as well as customizing the insides. Maggie chose the lined pages but Charlie just wanted blank pages to draw in. They love to pull out their journals and see what they have written or drawn over the last few months.
