It’s no secret that getting kids to eat their veggies can sometimes be tricky. For me, the easiest way to ensure your kids eat their vegetables is by exposing them to them a lot. That doesn’t have to just mean at the table either. Maggie loves to help me cook, and if it is a night where I don’t have anything for her to help me with, she cooks in her kitchen. Since she cooks a lot too, it only seems right to have a lot of the same foods we cook with. This New Sprouts Bushel of Veggies is the perfect fit for her play kitchen. We already have a decent amount of food for her kitchen, but a lot of it is really cheap feeling. That’s fine, but it also means it gets tossed out rather quickly because it gets ruined. The Bushel of Veggies from Learning Resources is not cheap feeling food. Each piece has a durable feel to it and will hold up for a long time.
The bushel basket of veggies includes corn, cucumber, broccoli, red pepper, eggplant, carrot, yellow pepper, asparagus and potato. A great range of veggies that you can’t find just anywhere. I love the asparagus, and so does Charlie! It’s his favorite “food” to chew on. Playing with the foods allows my kids to hear and talk about the different veggies. Especially being able to expose Charlie to those foods that he isn’t eating yet is good for him. Having their play mimic the things we want them to eat helps us focus on healthy eating while they are having fun.

My LO is still pretty young, but we are showing her the importance of healthy eating by making her fresh fruits and veggies daily! Thanks for this giveaway!
I swear, half of the time when Charlie eats, that’s all he gets is fresh fruits and veggies. Never a bad thing.
This is so cute! I love the bright colors and how realistic they actually look!
Looks like they are having a large time “cooking” you up something healthy and tasty to eat!
My kids love playing with their toy kitchen at Nana’s house! My daughter creates some very interesting dishes. My son loves to eat broccoli and my daughter loves salad.

That is so much fun! My nephew loves to come over and cook. I will almost always let him cook, but he doesn’t get to at home as often because they are always on the go.
