I come from a long line of card players. Not just cards actually, any game. We have a big family, and we LOVE to play games. When we all get together, you can usually hear me say something along the lines of, ” Why aren’t we playing a game, I didn’t come here to socialize.” Joking of course, I really go for the socializing AND the games. When I had the chance to review Reverse Charades {Sedarahc} I was excited, and so was the rest of my family. You see, Charades is one that my aunt is always wanting to play, but not everybody is on board with it because they don’t want to have to act alone.
Well, Reverse Charades is, well, the reverse of charades. You divide into teams, and when it is your teams turn, you have one guesser and an entire team of actors and actresses. It’s hilarious! Especially if you have some characters like we do. We had the chance to review the original game, along with the holiday booster pack. Since it was Thanksgiving weekend, we played the holiday version mostly. Our family is a mix of ages, and they all want to play. For the most part, we played with the youngest being 6 years old. She did more of the guessing along with somebody just because that made it more fun for her. We play some games where knowing who you are playing with is definitely a benefit, but with Reverse Charades, everybody is on a level playing field.
I really like how the box allows room for two different booster sets to fit into the box and be stored with the games.
To give you an idea of just how much fun we had playing this, watch these video clips of my family playing. Don’t judge – I couldn’t seem to record when we were doing good! And, I got yelled at just this weekend for showing up to a birthday party without it! We will definitely be playing this over Christmas and New Years. And if you want to entertain your toddlers, they can watch you act. Seems to be a hit for both my toddler and the baby.
