Summer #BlogChallenge July 19 – If I were president for a day, what law would I change?

Fly That Flag!  I live in Minnesota, and recently, the state has decided that the VFW cannot fly their American flags on the overpass anymore.  They have flown them there for the last 8 years, but suddenly they want to enforce it.  According to the Minnesota statute, it’s against the law to “paint, print, place or affix any advertisement or object within the limits of a highway. They have taken the flags down, but if somebody were to put them back up, it would be a misdemeanor and a fine.

I say let them keep flying that flag.  It isn’t hurting anything or anybody.   Read entire article.

What one law would you change if you were president or prime minister for a day?  Something local?  Something bigger than that?

  • I would set up a feed the hungry day and shelter the homeless evening. I would have all of congress out there serving the food and finding blankets for them. And I would make a mandate that this had to happen once a month and all of the congress had to be there. This would make them stand face to face with their people.
