A little over a year ago, I started couponing. There are some products I use and buy regularly, like Purex Laundry Detergent. Finding a good deal is especially important to us, but a product has to be more than a good price, it has to work great too. I love being able to get the products I need in a convenient place. Our local Target has a great selection of products, yet we can still get in and out quickly – a big deal if you are shopping with 2 little ones.
With all of the horrible germs that seem to be out this year, I am thinking I may not feel like heading out to the stores much when the new baby arrives. Fortunately, that won’t be a problem for us because Purex Detergent and Purex Crystals can be ordered online and picked up in store at Target, making our trip even faster.
With a new baby comes new challenges, and this time, I am certain that it will be no different. When Charlie was born, I ended up changing up my laundry routine, both for Charlie’s sensitive skin, and for my sanity!
We discovered that Purex Laundry Detergent was gentle enough for his skin. In preparing for this baby, I have decided to give the Purex Natural Elements a try. It is formulated with both traditional and plant based ingredients, is biodegradable, hypoallergenic and free of dyes. Sounds gentle enough that I am happy to try it with the new baby.
We also picked up some Purex Crystals on our most recent trip to the store. Our water just stinks, so I would love something to make my laundry fragrant, yet not have to use a fabric softener. I love that the crystals aren’t just coated with oil that you can feel on your hands. Plus, I can just add it right to my wash, so it really is no more work for me and my laundry smells amazing. Not a joke – my 4 year old has been sitting here trying to smell my arms all day!
We picked up a bunch of extra laundry baskets with Charlie, and have been using them all since. As I fold the laundry, I separate it into a basket for each person. That seems to be more manageable for me to put away laundry for one person at a time, rather than all of it in a basket and making a mess to find what I need.
Relax. Seriously new mama – relax. The laundry will wait. And replenish itself. Whether this is your first baby or your fifth, take that time to snuggle that new body. Snuggle those other littles you have. Enjoy the laughter and the giggles, you deserve it! This is how I have found my #LaundryBliss. The new baby isn’t here quite yet, but we have been just trying to relax and get in some extra snuggle time lately. Since we just got the new Disney Sleeping Beauty movie, we snuggled up on the couch to enjoy the show. What else have we done with the time I have free because I don’t spend my entire day in the laundry room? More family time. Check out this video and see.

Thank you! There is some really good advice!
I enjoy washing clothes…is that weird? lol
Thanks for this post!
Not at all. At least I don’t think so! I enjoy washing and folding laundry. Putting it away, however, is my downfall.
I like the suggestion to separate laundry by person as you’re folding it. I typically put my clothes on the left side of the basket, my son’s on the right, and hubby’s go on top. It’s cumbersome. I’m going to try your way next time! #client
